There was a funny atmosphere for the scrimmage at PalaCoverciano in
Florence between the home team Pallacanestro Femminile Firenze and the Penn State Behrend University.
After a forty-minutes game, the Florentine team won, also because of the fatigue accumulated by Americans after a long journey.
The Florentines have showed greater physicality with 2 centers on the floor, Clelia Corsi and Giulia Goracci, plus three players (Evangelista, Sautariello and Moretti) from neighboring teams, who performed well, both offensively and defensively.
Penn State lost the first three quarters, but won the fourth one (8-14). For coach Slater’s team, 27 points came from Chess (10 points), Fontaine and Kinecki.
